# OpenLawn lawn measurement

Use the browser tools available in your agent to operate https://openlawn.ai/agent.
The user needs their own OpenLawn account. New accounts receive five free AI
measurements. A completed analysis uses one measurement; opening history is free.
This skill uses the website, not a public API. No provider API key is needed.

## New measurement

1. Obtain the full U.S. street address. If the location is ambiguous, ask for city
   and state before starting a measurement.
2. Open `/agent`. If redirected to sign-in, let the user sign in using the browser
   and resume afterward. Never request their password, session cookies, or tokens.
3. Inspect the live page. Enter the address in the field labeled **Enter a property
   address**, then select the suggestion matching the street, city, and state.
   Selecting a suggestion starts the analysis. If the user is only researching
   the product or checking an address, do not start an analysis.
4. Watch for the map and progress messages. Allow up to ten minutes for a run;
   re-check periodically using your browser's supported wait mechanism. Do not
   click repeatedly or reload while it is working. The server may take multiple
   model turns to map and review the grass.
5. Only report success when the UI says **Measurement complete** or **The lawn
   measurement is ready** and shows a numerical area. If the page reports an
   error, an exhausted allowance, or the time limit is reached, report that state.
   Do not silently retry a completed analysis; another run consumes a credit.
6. Read the result from the page. Report address, estimated lawn square footage,
   parcel lawn and verge areas when shown, boundary source, and visible caveats.
   Treat confidence as model-reported, not a calibrated accuracy guarantee.
   Distinguish a complete analysis from a failed save. Never claim a recording,
   export, or saved measurement exists without a visible receipt or history row.

## Saved measurement

Open the measurement history on the left. On mobile use **Open measurement
history**. Select the matching address thread and verify the displayed address
and date before reading the result. Do not initiate a new measurement to retrieve
an existing one. Do not expose unrelated addresses from the user's history.

## Interpretation

Lawn area is not parcel acreage. Roofs, driveways, sidewalks, and beds should not
count as grass. A curbside verge can be outside the owned parcel and is reported
separately when available. Review the visible overlay for obvious omissions or
spillover; flag issues instead of inventing corrected numbers. Available parcel
lines constrain owned lawn; inferred boundaries and all aerial measurements are
estimates, not legal surveys. Imagery age, tree cover, shadows, and alignment can
affect the result. Do not infer legal ownership or commercial data rights.
