Effective date: October 1, 2026
OpenLawn is operated by Clicki, Inc. (“OpenLawn,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). This policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you visit openlawn.ai, use our mobile or web applications, run property measurements, or contact support.
For privacy questions or requests, email kendall@joinclicki.com. You can also write to Clicki, Inc., Attn: Privacy, 109 Michigan St NW, Suite 415, Grand Rapids, MI 49503.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
Account and business details. Your name, email address, authentication information, business or workspace name, workspace membership, and account preferences. If you use a supported sign-in provider such as Google, we receive the identity details it supplies for authentication. Signing in with Google does not give OpenLawn permission to read your email or documents.
Property and measurement information. Addresses you enter, property coordinates, parcel information, aerial imagery, lawn outlines, square-footage estimates, completed measurement images, and related job records. We also store the corrections, ratings, comments, and service-area preferences you submit. A property address or image may relate to you, your customer, or another person. Only submit information you are authorized to use.
Support conversations. Messages, feedback, and other information you provide when contacting us or chatting with our AI support assistant. Support conversations are saved so we can resolve issues, review responses, and improve support. Avoid including passwords, payment-card details, or unrelated sensitive information.
Billing and referral records. Subscription and purchase details, credit balances and usage, payment status, refund records, and referral attribution and rewards. Payments are processed through Stripe. OpenLawn receives billing references and transaction information; payment-card entry is handled by the payment processor.
Connecting OpenLawn to ChatGPT
If you connect our ChatGPT plugin, we receive a verified connection identifier and email address from the hosting service. You explicitly link the connection while signed into your OpenLawn account. In response to your requests, the plugin can share your workspace names, credit status, property addresses, measurement results and temporary map links with ChatGPT, and can start measurements or cancel measurement jobs. These actions use your existing account permissions and measurement credits. ChatGPT handles information it receives under its own terms and privacy policy. You can disconnect at openlawn.ai/chatgpt/connect; disconnecting removes future plugin access but does not erase existing ChatGPT conversations or OpenLawn records.
Information collected through use of the service
We and our service providers process technical information such as IP address, browser or operating-system information, request timestamps, errors, and activity needed to operate and secure the service. Measurement records may include processing time, model identifiers, tool actions, diagnostic information, and usage or cost information.
When you use a referral link, we may store a referral identifier and related attribution information so an eligible referral can receive credit.
Public website session recordings
We record visits to our public marketing and documentation pages to understand navigation, identify usability problems, and improve the website. Recordings reconstruct page content, clicks, scrolling, pointer movement, and timing; they are not camera or microphone recordings. They are sent to Clicki’s session-recording system, where authorized administrators can review them. Technical metadata includes browser information, page paths, a random visitor identifier stored in your browser, and IP-derived approximate location.
Form inputs are masked. We do not record signed-in measurement workflows, account pages, login or registration, billing, support, admin screens, or online ordering flows. Query strings and URL fragments are removed from recorded page URLs. You can turn public website recording off using the Session recording control in the footer. We also honor browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. This control affects future recording in this browser; contact support for requests about existing recordings.
Optional device location
If you choose Use my current location, the mobile app asks for location permission. With your permission, it sends location information to OpenLawn and Mapbox to find a street address. You confirm the property before starting a measurement. You can enter an address without granting location permission, and change permission in your device settings. The app does not request background location.
Information from other sources
We obtain property and imagery information from mapping, aerial-imagery, and parcel-data sources. Authentication providers supply sign-in information, and our payment processor supplies payment and subscription status.
2. How we use information
We use information to:
- Create and authenticate accounts and manage access to business workspaces.
- Find properties, process aerial imagery, generate lawn estimates, and save and retrieve results.
- Apply measurement feedback to relevant property and service-area checks.
- Show job progress, recover interrupted work, and investigate errors.
- Process subscriptions, track credits, and administer referral rewards.
- Answer support requests and evaluate the quality of AI and human support.
- Communicate about your account, transactions, and service changes.
- Maintain security, prevent misuse, resolve disputes, and meet applicable legal obligations.
Our measurements are estimates to help with planning and quoting. They are not legal boundary surveys, guarantees of property ownership, or a substitute for reviewing the result.
3. AI measurements, personalization, and support
Measurement processing. OpenLawn sends the property information needed for a measurement—including the address or coordinates, imagery, property boundaries, and measurement instructions—to mapping and AI service providers. Our AI processing uses Vercel AI Gateway and AI model providers, including OpenAI. These services process the submitted information to generate the requested result.
Personalization. Measurement feedback can add inspection checks for future work in your workspace, including checks relevant to a property, nearby service area, or your business. This feature adjusts the guidance used during a measurement. It does not mean a separate AI model has been trained for your business. Withdrawing eligible feedback stops its use for future guidance according to the feature’s controls; it does not automatically erase previously saved measurements or copies already processed by a provider.
AI support. The support assistant uses relevant account and workspace information, such as your measurement history, jobs, feedback, plan, and credit balance, together with information about how the application works. Your support messages and this relevant context are processed by AI services to answer your request. Authorized OpenLawn personnel can review saved conversations, ratings, and escalations to troubleshoot problems and improve support. Saving a chat does not automatically fine-tune an AI model.
AI-generated measurements and support answers can be incorrect. Review results before relying on them and contact support when something looks wrong.
4. When we share information
Providers that help operate OpenLawn. Information is shared as needed with providers supporting the functions below:
| Function | Examples of providers and information involved |
|---|---|
| Account authentication and cloud storage | Supabase processes account, workspace, measurement, job, and stored-artifact data. |
| Property search and imagery | Mapbox and applicable parcel or imagery sources process property searches, coordinates, map requests, and imagery requests. |
| AI measurements and support | Vercel AI Gateway and AI providers, including OpenAI, process measurement inputs, relevant support context, and generated responses. |
| Hosting and delivery | OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure serve the website and APIs and process operational information. |
| Payments | Stripe processes payment details and returns transaction, customer, and subscription references. |
| Account communications and operations | Email providers deliver service messages. Slack receives operational notifications that may include account identity, property information, finished measurement images, or support-escalation details for our team. |
Your workspace and authorized support staff. Workspace members can access records available to their assigned role. Authorized administrators may access account and workspace information to provide support, investigate failures, and maintain the service. Support access is not the same as making your information public.
Sharing you choose. When you use the mobile share feature, the selected image, address, and measurement details are sent to the app or recipient you choose. A recipient may retain or share a copy under their own practices. If you authorize an available integration or API connection, it receives information within that connection’s permissions.
Other disclosures. We may disclose relevant information when required by law, to address fraud or security incidents, protect legal rights, work with professional advisers, or carry out a business transfer, subject to applicable obligations.
Third-party services also have their own terms and privacy notices. Information copied to a service you choose is subject to that service’s handling practices.
5. Advertising and broader model training
OpenLawn does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use private customer measurements or support conversations to train a general-purpose model or personalize another customer’s workspace without a separate, clearly explained opt-in.
This statement does not prevent processing information to provide your requested measurement or support response, applying feedback within your workspace, or reviewing failures to improve the application. Our service providers also process information under their applicable terms and our agreements with them.
6. Cookies, local storage, and device permissions
The website uses cookies and similar storage for functions such as sign-in, workspace selection, and referral attribution. The mobile app stores its saved authentication session using the device’s secure storage. Removing site data or signing out can clear local sign-in state, but does not delete cloud records.
The mobile app’s sharing feature uses your device’s share sheet. It does not request access to your contacts or photo library. Location access is optional and can be revoked through device settings. Apple may collect TestFlight diagnostics and feedback under Apple’s own notices when you participate in a beta.
You can use your browser and device controls to manage cookies, stored data, and permissions. Blocking necessary storage may prevent sign-in or other requested functions from working.
7. Retention and deletion
We retain account and workspace information, saved measurements, feedback, and support records to provide the service and its history, resolve issues, and meet applicable business and legal needs. Retention depends on the type of record, whether it remains part of an active workspace, pending support issues or disputes, and legal or security requirements.
You can request access, correction, export, or deletion by contacting kendall@joinclicki.com. We may need to verify your identity and authority over the affected account or workspace. Do not email us your password or payment-card information.
A shared business workspace may contain records that other members or the business are entitled to retain. A request concerning your individual account may therefore differ from a request to delete an entire workspace. Financial, security, or dispute-related records may need to be retained for applicable purposes. Backup copies and records held by other providers may follow separate retention processes.
Deleting the app, signing out, canceling a subscription, or withdrawing a feedback item does not by itself delete all account data. Copies exported or shared with others may remain with their recipients.
8. Your choices and privacy rights
You can review saved measurements, use available feedback controls, choose whether to share results, manage device permissions, and contact us about account or privacy concerns. Where marketing messages are sent, you can use their unsubscribe instructions; essential account and transaction messages may continue.
Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your information; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent; or appeal a decision about a privacy request. You may also be entitled to contact a privacy regulator. Applicable rights and exceptions depend on your circumstances. We will not penalize you for exercising a legally protected privacy right.
If a lawn-care business submitted information about your property, identify that business and the property in your request. We may need to coordinate with the business that controls the relevant record.
9. Security and international processing
OpenLawn uses safeguards such as encrypted connections, authentication, workspace access controls, and secure device storage. No service can guarantee that data will never be accessed or lost without authorization.
OpenLawn and its providers may process information in the United States and other locations where they operate. Privacy laws can differ between locations. Contact us if you have questions about where your information is processed.
10. Children, changes, and contact
OpenLawn is designed for business property-measurement workflows and is not directed to children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
We may revise this policy when our service or practices change. The published version will show its effective date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request consent for a material change.
